Members Attend RIT Training

Twin Valley Fire Department Members firefighter Ray Dymond and Lieutenant Colt Grazioli recently completed RIT training hosted by Honey Brook Fire Co. Rapid Intervention Teams or RIT is a term commonly used today to describe a group of firefighters at a structure fire or other incident dedicated to rescuing a firefighter should they find themselves trapped, disoriented and lost or go down due to a medical emergency. If a MAYDAY is declared, it is the job of the RIT Team to remove the firefighter from the structure or hazardous environment and get them to EMS crews in a safe environment.
