After a few years of planning and donations, the TVFD would like to announce the arrival of our newest training tool, The Dräger Exterior Live Fire Training System! With the addition of this critical training tool, we are now able to utilize live fire to train on vehicle fires, propane tank emergencies, and gas meter emergencies.

The officers of the TVFD spent a Saturday being trained on how to operate the system and all the safety features of the system. With the operation training completed, the membership got the opportunity to train on this live fire tool.

A big advantage to having this system is that we can set up so many different scenarios where we are at our station versus having to travel to the county training center. Another advantage is that in the coming months, we will be doing joint training with mutual aid companies.
