On July 23rd at 18:30 members of the department attended the graduation and swearing in of Firefighter Richardson from the Reading Fire Academy. After 6 months of physical, medical and firefighter training Lucas graduated from the academy and is being assigned to "C" platoon. After a welcome speech from Deputy Chief Banks and congratulatory speeches from Mayor Moran and Chief Stoudt the recruits received there badges and were sworn in by City Clerk Kelleher. Each cadet had to sign the book making them officially Reading Firefighters.
