At 5:30am, TVFD and EMS were dispatched to a serious accident in the area of a business on Hemlock Road in Caernarvon Berks. Responding units were advised of a single vehicle that had drove off the Turnpike and came to rest to the rear of the business with one subject trapped and possibly one subject ejected. While enroute, Chief 69 was updated of a possible vehicle fire and the driver being unconscious. An additional ambulance and medic unit were dispatched to the scene due to multiple reported patients. Chief 69 arrived on location confirming no vehicle fire with one subject trapped and unresponsive, and another subject found laying in the grass next to the vehicle. Further assessment by EMS personnel determined the entrapped driver was deceased and patient care was then focused on the other injured passenger. Rescue 69 and Engine 69-2's crews assisted EMS with immobilizing the patient and transferring him into the ambulance, and secured hazards on the vehicle. Fire police provided scene security and crowd control from local business bystanders. Rescue 69's crew remained onscene and assisted the local county coroner and towing company.

Units cleared at 7:48am.
