 | The Twin Valley Forest Fire Crew was officially formed in October of 2004, A joint effort between the Elverson Fire Company and the Friendship Fire Company of Morgantown. Tom Hess of the Elverson Fire Co. has been the Forest Fire Warden since 1964 and has had an unofficial crew out of the Elverson Fire Co. In 2004 Tom stepped down as Warden, and Duane Crowley was appointed. We thank Tom for all of his years of active service to the community and look forward to him still being active in the training of our crew members. | | | The primary response area for this crew will be Pennsylvania Forest District 17, which includes the following counties: Chester, Berks, Lancaster, Montgomery, Delaware, Philadelphia, Bucks, and Lehigh. Our crew can be called up to respond anywhere in the Commonwealth if needed. A RED card crew member can go anywhere in the U.S. | | All active members of this Wildland Firefighting Crew are PA State Certified 130 Wildland Firefighters. The 130 training program provided us with the knowledge and skills that are needed to be a successful Wildland Fire Suppression Firefighter. The PA 130 training program is taught by PA DCNR certified Wildland Firefighters. Key topics covered in the training were: | | News Archives | Member Email | Home | Guestbook |
