Working Fire in Saint Peters

By Battalion Fire Chief Jeffrey Cook
April 3, 2011

At 6:12 PM the Twin Valley Fire Department along with Station 62(Ridge) and a ambulance from 329(Pottstown) were dispatched for a reported mobile home on fire in the area of the 100 block of Sunrise Dr. in Warwick Township.

Chief 69(Romig) arrived first and found a working mobile home. Chief 69 took command and immediately called for the working fire dispatch and two additional tankers. All subjects were reported out of the home.

Engine 69-2 arrived next with a crew of 5. Engine 69-2's crew stretched the 200' 1-3/4 bumper line to the front door while the other members started "opening up" the trailer.

Engine 62-1 arrived next and its crew pulled the 2nd bumper line off of 69-2 and started assisting with fire suppression. Engine 69-5 and Engine 62-5 supplied Engine 69-2 with its water and its crews assisted with opening up.

The bulk of the fire was knocked down in a matter of minutes with extensive overhaul all throughout the mobile home.

Units went available at 8:22 PM

The fire is currently under investigation with Chester County Fire Marshal's office.

Special thanks to the Churchtown Fire Company and Honey Brook Fire Company for covering the first due while we were at the fire.
