Conestoga Christian School Drill
By Battalion Fire Chief Jeffrey Cook
April 1, 2011
Today the volunteers of the Twin Valley participated in a drill assisting one of our mutual aid companies Station 3-4(Churchtown) at the Conestoga Christian School.
The drill started at 1:00 PM. The volunteers were alerted like it was a real fire. Only the principle, the firemen and about 6 students knew that it was an actual drill.
The drill went over well. The firemen and school officials discussed hazard area's, things that went wrong, things that went right, evacuation zones, forcible entry hazards, attack line lengths and labeling of buildings and doors. All in all it was a very educational day for everyone to make sure our children our safe, if their ever might be a real fire.
Special thanks to Fire Police Lieutenant Alan Chalfin for the pictures. We also would like to thank Chief 3-4(D. Martin) for setting up the drill in making our communities a safer and better place to live.
