| On October 5, 2009 The Twin Valley Fire Department held its 2nd annual golf outing. Golfers were greeted by the Stonewall Golf Club employees with a sign in and cart assignment. Inside the clubhouse, breakfast was served, and players were given the opportunity to purchase mulligans and 50/50 raffle tickets.
Special holes were throughout the course which included a longest drive with a firefighter's bunker coat,gloves, and helmet on. A closest to the pin winning a trip to Naples Florida. A hole in one shot winning a weeks vacation at St. Andrews in Scottland. And finally, a closest to the pin winning a chance for a million dollar hole in one shot.
After the golfers were finished playing 18 holes, a buffet style lunch was provided. During the lunch, door prizes were handed out, along with awards like best score and longest drive winners. The event organizer, Mark Prowell also had some very nice things to say about the fire department, and thanked everyone for coming out and supporting the cause.
