| At 8:11 AM Containment 69 was alerted to assist Berks Fire Station 24(Geigertown) for a hazardous materials incident at the intersections of Buckhollow Rd and Zion Rd.
Geigertown volunteers were on scene of a vehicle accident with a car on its roof in a pond. Berks Chief 24 requested the containment trailer due to the gas and oil leaking out of the car into the pond.
Squad and Containment 69 arrived on scene and assisted Geigertown with additional "pigs and booms" to keep all the hazardous materials to the one side of the pond.
While the Containment was busy working at the hazardous materials incident, Engine 69-5 was alerted to assist Station 64(Norco) on a house fire at the 2200 block of Jones Rd. Engine 69-5 arrived with a crew of 4 and staged out on the hard Rd. Firefighters from Norco and Ridge had the fire under control upon Engine 5's arrival.
As Engine 5's crew was just leaving the house fire, Chester County Fire Board call and advised they were getting a fire alarm at the 100 block of Drake Rd. Engine 69-5 arrived and the alarm was set off by steam from the shower.
