Volunteers Tackle a Brush Fire In East Nantmeal

At 12:41 pm The Twin Valley Volunteers were alerted for a report of Brush Fire. The Fire Was reported be in the area of the Intersections of Route 345 and Route 401. Brush 69-1 was first to arrive and found about one acre of woods burning and it was spreading fast due to the winds.

Brush 69-1 and Brush 69-2 made quick of the fire Bringing it under control at 1:19pm. Engine 69-1 also made it back the narrow driveway and Engine 69-5 and Engine 69-2 staged out on route 401 due to a very narrow bridge that crossed the creek on the driveway. Engine 69-5 also ran a line to Engine 69-1 and nursed the fire scene with its water.

Units cleared at 1:58 pm.
