Passing of Phoenixville Deputy Chief Brian Gallagher

It is with deep regret and heavy hearts announcing the sudden passing of Deputy Fire Chief Brian Gallagher this past Friday. Brian has been a member of Phoenix Hose, Hook & Ladder Co., No. 1 since 1976 and the Kimberton Fire Company since 1972. Brian was past president of Northern Chester County Fire Chief's Association and past Pennsylvania Fire Academy Instructor. Brian retired from the Chester County Fire Marshal's Office in 2007 after serving the Department of Emergency Services for over 30 years both as a fire dispatcher and Deputy Fire Marshal. Most recently, Brian operated his own business providing Fire Investigation and Code Enforcement services to municipalities and businesses.

TVFD officers and members pass along our deepest and sincere thoughts and condolences to the Phoenixville Fire Department as well the entire Chester County Emergency Services family in the loss of a great mentor and friend.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, September 1, from 5pm to 8pm at St Ann's Chapel. A fireman's funeral will be held Wednesday starting with a viewing from 9:30am to 10:45am. A funeral mass will start at 11am. The chapel is located at 604 South Main Street in Phoenixville. Burial will be at St Ann's Cemetery located at 305 West Pothouse Road in Phoenixville.
