At 10:08am, TVFD was alerted to assist Station 33 (Honey Brook) and other mutual aid units at a house fire on Water Street in Honey Brook Borough. Shortly after the original dispatch, units were re-alerted for possible entrapment reports by additional calls into 911. First arriving crews from HBFC confirmed a working fire and were able to enter the home and locate a single victim. After extricating the victim, crews transferred care to the EMS units and returned to continue in the firefighting operation. Despite all efforts by everyone involved, the victim had unfortunately succumb to the elements of the house fire.

Ladder 69 and Engine 69-5 arrived on location and were given orders to both ladder the roof to provide ventilation and stand-by for possible water supply. Suppression efforts held the bulk of the fire damage to a minimal area of the home. TVFD units remained for several hours assisting the crews from Honey Brook, Churchtown, and East Brandywine with overhaul and cleanup efforts, as well as traffic and crowd control.

Units cleared at 1:03pm.

Sympathetic thoughts are extended to the victim's family and friends, and all emergency personnel effected by this tragedy.
