Attentive Homeowner Saves House

At 3:57pm, TVFD and mutual aid companies were dispatched to a house fire on County Park Road in Warwick. Engine 69-2 arrived reporting a light smoke showing from the roof line. The owner called 911 after noticing a smoke condition while returning home after welders were working on the house. A small fire was found within the roof, with the bulk knocked down by the homeowner prior to fire units arriving. The remaining fire was extinguished, ventilation was performed of the structure, and negative extension was confirmed by the crews. County fire marshals investigated the scene and released all fire units.
