At 9:21pm, TVFD was dispatched to the Pennsylvania Turnpike around milemarker 307 eastbound for a bus fire. Chief 69 arrived onscene with a fully involved charter bus and extention into the adjacent brush and woodline. TVFD was re-alerted for an additional engine and Glenmoore FC was added for a tanker to assist due to the volume of fire. Engine 69-5 arrived onscene and deployed multiple handlines, while being supplied by Engine 69-2. Engine 48-5 assisted with manpower and stood-by for water supply. The driver and almost 40 passengers, PSU students traveling for the holiday, escaped uninjured and were transferred to another bus. Traffic was reduced to one lane through the scene for several hours during extinguishment and clean-up.

Final units cleared at 12:06am.

*Thanks to Glenmoore FC for the mutual aid assist.
