| This past weekend, several TVFD members completed weeks of training to achieve Pumper Driver Operator certification through the Chester County Department of Emergency Services. These members dedicated hours in the classroom, on the training grounds, at the firehouse, and at home to broaden their firefighting skills and help to better serve the community. Some subjects included emergency vehicle operations, maintenance and inspection procedures, hydraulics, placement of apparatus at fire scenes, and methods of water movement in a rural area. Congratulations to Engineers Darryl Romig and Ryan Putt, Safety Officer Joe Carmen, and Firefighters Andy Koppenhaver and Ray Dymond. A thank you also goes out to Engineers Shawn Leisey and Mike Wilson for volunteering their time to bring Engine 69-2 to the training facility during hands-on sessions for the students. |
