At 5:35pm Sunday, while finishing clean ups from a weekend training class, Station 33 (Honey Brook), Station 34 (Martin's Corner), and Ladder 69 were dispatched to Icedale Road in Honey Brook Township for a garage fire after a lightning strike.

Deputy 33 (Klinger) arrived to find a 25' X 35' detached garage fully involved with an exposure to the house approximately 15' away. Engine 34-5 arrived next and deployed two handlines to protect the dwelling while extinguishing the fire. "Icedale Road Command" requested two more tankers due to limited water access in the area bringing Tanker 49 (East Brandywine) and Engine 69-5.

Ladder 69 arrived and assisted with gaining better access to the garage and checking the interior of the home for fire extension. Engine 69-5 arrived shortly after and assisted with fire suppression and overhaul.

Units operated for just over an hour before being released by command.
