| At 6:36 PM, The Twin Valley Fire Department along with 89 Ambulance (Elverson EMS) and Medic 93 (Brandywine Medics) were alerted to the intersections of Elverson Road and Morgantown Road in New Morgan Borough for the reported auto accident with entrapment. Chief 69(Romig) arrived and found one vehicle over a very steep embankment with one subject trapped inside. The chief reported the accident to be one mile north of the original dispatch. Rescue 69 and Engine 69-2 went enroute with 10 volunteers. Rescue 69 arrived and crews secured the car with the proper tools from sliding further down the cliff it was on. If the tree would have broke that was holding the vehicle up, the vehicle would have slid down a 500 foot straight down cliff into a creek. The Crews then removed the rear passenger door. Patient was extricated in 4 minutes after arrival of Rescue 69. Engine 69-2 staged at the intersection of Harmony Road and Morgantown Road at the old Carrs Park facility to land the Sky Flight Care Helicopter. It was determined from EMS personnel on the scene that the patient will be going by ground to Reading Hospital. Units Available at 7:21 PM |
