Elverson Days, also known as Elverson Day in the Park, is an annual community event held in Elverson, Pennsylvania, at Livingood Park. This year's event featured a variety of activities and attractions for residents and visitors of all ages.
The Twin Valley Fire Department had several apparatuses on display throughout the day to promote fire safety and community awareness. They show cased its new Tower truck, giving attendees the opportunity to tour the apparatus, sit inside the cab, and take photos with the vehicle. In addition to the new tower truck, several other trucks were on display, including what firefighters affectionately call The Beast, a brush truck, that has been recently donated by DCNR, as well as the department’s Engine. The display provided visitors with a close-up look at the equipment used to protect the community and respond to a variety of emergencies. Firefighters distributed children's fire safety helmets, pens, coloring books, and lollipops while providing valuable fire prevention information to families. One of the most popular attractions was the hands-on fire hose activity, where children had the opportunity to operate a fire hose along with a Fire Department member assisting to help spray water at wooden window flames house prop, aiming at the windows and door with water with the fire hose pushes the flames down, just as firefighters follow during emergency situations.
The event featured local food trucks, live music, face painting, moon bounces, barrel rides, and a petting zoo. Activities concluded with a fireworks display that brought the community together for a memorable evening.
The day also included a 5K race and a 1-mile fun run/walk held in the morning. The Twin Valley Fire Police assisted with traffic control and race safety, helping ensure a successful event for all participants.
Overall, Elverson Days once again provided a wonderful opportunity for community members to gather, enjoy family-friendly activities, and learn more about the important services provided by the Twin Valley Fire Department and Fire Police.
