| Twin Valley Fire Department was invited to attend the annual French Creek fireworks event as a precautionary measure to help ensure the safety of all attendees during the fireworks display.
Throughout the evening, everything was proceeding safely and no fires had been reported. However, during the event, units Engine 69-1, Brush 69-2 and Engine 69-1were dispatched to a brush fire that had been ignited by hot ash from the fireworks.
The crews responded quickly and efficiently, bringing the fire under control and extinguishing all hot spots before it could spread. Thanks to the prompt actions of the firefighters, the situation was resolved safely, allowing members and guests of the French Creek Golf Club to continue enjoying the evening's fireworks display.
