On 4/20/2024 at about 20:15hrs the TVFD was alerted for a brush piece, ATV and staffing to assist the Cumru Township Fire Department on a large woods fire. Brush 69-1, Utility 69-1 and ATV responded. Crews arrived and were told to hold at the staging area until everyone regrouped. After a short debriefing crews were tasked to work with Giegertown FC, Gibraltar FC, Monarch FC, and Birdsboro Union FD on the right flank of the fire. Crews worked to fortify the fire line along with checking for and extinguishing hot spots. Crews worked for about an hour and a half before being released from the woods. Shortly after crew returned to the Command Post and were advised they were released from the scene and can return home.
