The TVFD, and mutual aid were dispatched to West Nantmeal Township for a reported house fire.
Deputy 69 responded and was advised flames were seen on the first floor of the house and an evacuation was in progress with explosions. Deputy 69 arrived to confirm a fully involved dwelling fire with a subject shooting at the police officers on the scene. Deputy 69 requested the WFD and 1st alarm Tanker Task Force and advised for all units to stage out away from the scene until PSP deemed the scene safe for responders. Once the all clear was given, units went into the scene and started fire suppression. Engine 69-1 entered the driveway and was assisted by all the crews on-scene with fire suppression and access due to structural collapse. As police vehicles were moved, more apparatus could move in closer to the scene. Tankers shuttled water from Struble Lake, where Engine 33-1 had set up the draft site.
