At 16:35 the department was dispatched 29 East Main St. Elverson Borough for a chimney fire. Ladder 69 went in route with 4 personnel followed by Engine 69-1 with 4 personnel. Ladder 69 was advised enroute there was flames from the chimney and unknown if the home owner was home. Ladder 69 personnel emptied the wood stove and laddered the roof to check the chimney.

Engine 69-1 crew checked the second floor and the attic for extension with a thermal imaging camera. After removal of material from the wood stove the chimney was cooling down and no extension found.

Incident was put under control at 17:15.

Home owner was advised to have chimney checked before being used again.

All units went available at 17:43.
