January 9, 2020

At 5:12PM, TVFD and EMS were dispatched to Hemlock Rd at an industrial facility in Honey Brook Township for an Odor Investigation Inside. CCDES received reports of that there were fumes in the building earlier and that the fumes have cleared but several people were feeling ill. Ambulance 89 arrived, took EMS command and reported multiple patients. Three additional ambulances were dispatched to assist. Engine 69-1 arrived first and sent in crews to evacuate the building and begin investigating. Deputy 69 took command of the incident and switched operations onto Central Ops 1. Crews found readings as upwards of 120 PPM of Carbon Monoxide. EMS took care of transporting all patients to local hospitals. Crews began venting the building with multiple fans. The size of the building made it difficult for crews to completely ventilate the structure. Ladder 69 set up the the roof where they opened up multiple skylights to help vent the building. A total of 7 people were transported by EMS. The building was turned over to maintenance after venting was completed. TVFD cleared at 8:14PM.
