TVFD was dispatched to the intersection of Main St and Morview Blvd for a Vehicle Fire reported to be an RV. Engine 69-5 was on the road in minutes. The engine was advised of fully involved RV with everyone out of the vehicle. Crews were also advised of wires above the RV catching fire. EHBEMS Ambulance 89-1 was added on reports of one patient with facial burns. Engine 69-5 arrived to find the fully involved RV on the median of the I-176 Ramp near Main St. Firefighters immediately stretched a 150' 1 3/4" Bumper line towards the vehicle. Once the line was charged, firefighters began attacking the fire. A couple minutes after crews had water on the fire the gas tank on the RV failed and began feeding the blaze. Engine 69-1 arrived a couple minutes later and stretched their own bumper line towards the RV. As the fire was being knocked EMS began tending to the victim who later refused transport to the hospital. The fire was placed under control at 13:07 as crews began overhaul operations. Lancaster 34's fire police were dispatched to assist with traffic control. Nearly 3000 gallons of water were used to extinguish the blaze. Crews stayed on scene for over 2 hours until the RV was moved from the roadway.
