At 3:35pm, TVFD was dispatched to a truck fire on the westbound Pennsylvania Turnpike in Caernarvon Berks. While Engine 69-5 was enroute, a large column of smoke could be seen from the firehouse, and an additional tanker was requested. Units from Lancaster County Stations 32 and 33 (Fivepointville and Bowmansville FC) were already enroute to the eastbound side of the turnpike due to conflicting 911 calls, and were redirected to the updated location to assist. TVFD arrived confirming a fully involved tractor trailer and deployed multiple handlines for suppression. Additional units arrived and assisted with extinguishing the remaining fire and performing extensive overhaul. Traffic through the area was delayed for several hours during cleanup, and crews remained into the early evening hours assisting with the safe removal of debris.

Special thanks to the companies assisting onscene as well as Station 34 (Churchtown FC) for providing standby coverage of the Twin Valley area while crews were involved in the incident.

Final TVFD units cleared at 8:25pm.
