Firehouse Upgrades for TVFD

The firehouse has always strived to be a family atmosphere, filled with many social events to help defuse from our routine firefighting duties. During one such event, TVFD's President and Lieutenant Ray Dymond noticed that our membership had grown to the point that the original bar seating area in our lounge could no longer accommodate all of our members. After mentioning this at a department meeting, Ray designed a kitchen renovation that included an expanded seating area, a larger sink set-up, and an upgraded concrete counter top with a high gloss finish and brass pole support post. He also included in the design, a new tile back splash that incorporated the thin red line symbol, paying tribute to our firefighting brotherhood and sisterhood. The upgrades around the firehouse also included the replacement of the counter tops in our radio room to concrete counters, as well as the thin red line tile design in the engine bay restroom.

TVFD would like to thank Ray and the other members that assisted him with the renovations, for volunteering dozens of hours and hardwork completing these projects. The members have already enjoyed many evenings and meals bonding in the renovated lounge, and we look forward to strengthening our bond as a firehouse family while we continue to serve our community.
