Serious Accident on Route 10 in Caernarvon

At 11:15am, TVFD and EMS were dispatched to a serious accident on Route 10 in Caernarvon Berks. Responding units were advised of a multiple vehicle accident with a subject having chest pain and another with a possible head injury. An additional ambulance was requested due to a report of multiple victims. Deputy 69 (Brooks) arrived confirming a two vehicle accident in the area of the entrance to the turnpike, partially blocking the roadway. Rescue 69 and Engine 69-1's crew assisted with patient care, securing vehicle hazards, clearing roadway debris, and assisting with traffic control. Squad 69 and fire police set up a one lane traffic pattern through the area. After EMS evaluated all occupants, the injured subject was transported to a local hospital by Ambulance 89-1. Fire crews stoodby until removal of the vehicles and the police concluded their investigation. Caernarvon PD and Deputy 69 provided a personal ride to a local hotel for some of the involved occupants, while the remainder of the TVFD units returned available.
