At 5:25pm, TVFD was dispatched for a woods fire on Morgantown Road in Caernarvon Lancaster. Brush 69-1 arrived confirming a trash fire that had quickly spread to the surrounding woods and was threatening nearby homes. Deputy 69 (Brooks) assumed "Morgantown Command" and requested an additional brush truck and tanker, bringing units from Station 34 (Churchtown) to assist. Chief 69 (Hornberger) assumed operations and directed 69 and 34 crews to attack the fire from multiple directions and begin clearing a line to stop the spread to the houses. Engine 69-5 supplied brush units from the west side of the fire, while units on the east side were supplied by Engine 69-1 and Tanker 34. Great teamwork and an aggressive attack kept the involved area to a minimum and prevented damage to the nearby structures. After extensive overhaul, all units were released and returned available.

Final units cleared at 6:49pm.
