By TVFD
December 12, 2014

At 3:03pm, TVFD, Ambulance 89 (Elverson), and Medic 93 (Brandywine) were alerted to a vehicle versus a deer accident at the 302.4 eastbound mile marker of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in West Nantmeal. Ambulance 89-2 arrived on scene to find the driver of the vehicle pinned against the seat with the deer carcass still on top of the patient. Rescue 69's crew cautiously removed the deer and helped stabilize the patient for removal from the vehicle. Both occupants were injured by the deer coming through the windshield and transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Units cleared the scene at 3:38pm.
