By Deputy Chief Corey Hostetler
August 30, 2012

At 3:50 PM, the Twin Valley Fire Department along with Lancaster County Station 34 (Churchtown), Station 33 (Honey Brook), and Station 89 (Elverson EMS) were alerted to 111 Morgan Way, The Morgan Corporation for the reported building on fire.

Deputy 69 (C.Hostetler) made the response, and was advised from the Chester County Fireboard that reports indicated a working building fire. Deputy 69 arrived at 3:52 PM, and immediately requested a second alarm bringing Berks Company 24 (Geigertown), Berks Company 72 (Brecknock), and special called was Lancaster County Station 39 (New Holland), and Berks Company 7 (Birdsboro) for their Towers, Station 48 (Glen Moore) for rapid intervention.

Ladder 69 responded with a crew of 4 at 3:55, and arrived at 3:58, stretching a supply line from a hydrant to the back of the building. Crews immediately deployed a 2 ½" step gun, and set up the aerial master stream into the building.

Engine 69-5, Tanker 34, Engine 34-1 established a water supply from the hydrant and finished laying a supply line. Engine 33-2 later assisted with water supply ops by pulling a draft from the Conestoga Creek since the hydrant system was being stressed.
A third alarm was requested at 4:14 PM bringing Lancaster County Station 30 (Goodville / Terre Hill).

Crews from 33, and 34 placed several ground monitors in service. Truck 39 took the B side of the building, while Tower 7 took the A side, both going in service with aerial master streams.

The fire was officially placed under control at 5:38 PM.

Stations 89, 33, and 93 stood by and establish a rehab for the firefighters.
Fire Police provided traffic control by closing Morgan Way between Quarry Road and Willow Glen Road.

A Special Thanks to the crew of North Penn Goodwill Services for providing food and beverage to the firefighters onscene.

Also thank you to the crew of Engine 61 (Kimberton) and Tanker 73 (Ludwigs Corner) for covering the TVFD district while we operated at this fire.
