| At 12:12 AM The Twin Valley Fire Department was alerted for the "RIT" team assignment to assist Stations 49(East Brandywine) 48(Glen Moore) 33(Honey Brook) for a reported garage on fire in area of the 100 block of Germany Hollow Road.
Chief 49(Edwards) was first to arrive and found fire through the roof of a garage, attached to a house. Chief 49 then established "Brandywine Manor" command. Command then requested Ladder 69 to the scene along with first and second alarm tanker task force.
Ladder 69 arrived and worked its way back the rear driveway of the house and prepared for a defensive operation. Once in place it was decided to reposition to the west side of the building next to the inground swimming pool.
Ladder 69 took position next to the swimming pool. Crews breached the fence of the pool and began drafting water. Crews stretched the 300' 2-1/2" line with the blitz nozzle attached to it and ran it to the rear of the building. Ladder 69 also began flowing water out the ladder pipe to darken the rest of the fire.
Crews from Chester and Lancaster counties worked all night to bring the blaze under control.
Engine 69-5 was part of the water shuttling operations
Ladder 69 cleared at 5:15 AM
