At 12:50pm, TVFD and mutual aid companies were dispatched to a building fire at Morgan Corp in Caernarvon Berks. Responding units were advised of multiple calls reporting a fire in plant 2. Chief 69 (Brooks) arrived confirming heavy smoke showing from the roof and established “Morgan Corp Command”. An active fire was found in the paint booth, contained to the filtration unit by the building’s extinguisher system. Crews from TVFD and Station 34 (Churchtown) extinguished the remaining fire, performed overhaul, and ventilated the building. Rescue 33’s crew (Honey Brook) stood by for the RIT assignment and Station 24 (Geigertown) units stood by for possible water supply. No extension was found to the actual building, and units were released by command.

TVFD cleared at 2:02pm.

At 2:44pm, TVFD was dispatched to assist Station 7 (Birdsboro) at a woods fire in French Creek, Union Berks. Crews were still at the firehouse cleaning up from the previous fire, and responded immediately in Brush 69-1, 69-2, ATV 69, Squad 69, and Engine 69-5. A large active woods fire was found by crews caused by high winds bringing down power lines. Access was difficult and crews worked hard in rough terrain to extinguish the fire from multiple points. After several hours, command released mutual aid units once the fire was confirmed contained.

TVFD cleared at 5:07pm.
