At 8:49pm, TVFD and EMS were dispatched to an automobile accident in the area of Route 82 and Lammey Road in West Nantmeal. Ambulance 89-1 arrived confirming a single vehicle verses a stone wall rollover, blocking the roadway. The single occupant driver was already self extricated from the vehicle and found walking around the scene. Chief 69 (Brooks) arrived establishing "Manor Road Command", and requested fire police close the roadway in both directions. Rescue 69's crew provided scene lighting, secured hazards on the vehicle, and cleared debris from the roadway. Ladder 69's crew was returning from earlier training with Station 48 (Glenmoore), and assisted the rescue crew and fire police with traffic control. Due to the extent of injuries to the patient, a medic unit was requested from Berks County to meet Ambulance 89-1 enroute to Reading Hospital. After the police investigation and removal of the vehicle, all units cleared and returned available.
