By TVFD
June 12, 2018

At 11:10pm, TVFD was dispatched to a vehicle fire on the westbound Pennsylvania Turnpike in West Nantmeal. Responding units were advised of conflicting reports on possibly another vehicle fire at a different location and description. An engine from Station 48 (Glenmoore FC) was dispatched to assist TVFD. Chief 69 (Brooks) arrived at the original location reporting a fully involved passenger car on the shoulder of the roadway. Engine 69-1 arrived and deployed a bumper handline to provide fire suppression. After the fire was controlled and the turnpike crew confirmed only one incident, Engine 48-5 was cancelled by command. Overhaul was performed and the crew stoodby until removal of the vehicle.

TVFD cleared at 12:14am.

*Special thanks to Station 48 for their assistance.

Units: Engine 69-1
