At 1:17pm, TVFD and EMS were dispatched to an automobile accident on the eastbound PA Turnpike in Upper Uwchlan. Chief 69 (Brooks) arrived reporting a single vehicle accident involving a box truck, with the cargo container separated and overturned. Bystanders who had stopped stated the driver had been unconscious, but was now responsive. An advanced medical unit was requested to the scene due to the updated extent of injuries. Engine 69-1’s crew assisted EMS with safely removing the victim from the vehicle, and swept debris on the roadway. The injured driver was transported to a local trauma center, and TVFD units were released by the State Police.

Units cleared at 2:26pm.
