Several Incidents Handled by TVFD Volunteers

At 8:02am, Rescue 69 was dispatched to assist Station 34 (Churchtown FC) on an automobile accident with entrapment on Main Street in Caernarvon Lancaster. Rescue 69 arrived and began extrication on a heavily entrapped driver of an overturned van. After an extended operation by TVFD, as well as crews from Station 34 and Rescue 33 (Honey Brook FC), the injured subject was transferred to JeffStat medical helicopter for transport to a local trauma center. Unfortunately the driver of the other vehicle had succumb to injuries on location. Fire police remained to close the roadway for several hours during the investigation.

Final units cleared at 1:46pm.


At 8:32pm, ATV 69 was dispatched to assist EMS crews with an injured subject on Saint Peter's Road in Warwick. Deputy 69 (Belgarde), Utility 69, and ATV 69 arrived on location and deployed into the woods to remove a subject that had fallen out of a tree stand. Once the subject was safely secured in a stokes basket and removed, EMS transferred the subject to PennStar medical helicopter for transport to a local trauma center.

Units cleared at 9:41pm.


At 9:48pm, while TVFD units were returning from the previous incident, crews came upon an automobile accident that just occurred on Route 23 in Warwick. A one vehicle accident rollover was found, with several subjects needing to be checked by EMS. Rescue 69 was requested to the scene, while Deputy 69 and Utility 69's crew began assisting EMS and checking for hazards on the vehicle. Scene lighting was provided, as well as roadway debris cleanup and traffic control.

TVFD cleared at 10:44pm.
