At 12:40am, TVFD and EMS were dispatched for an automobile accident on Mill Road in Caernarvon Berks. Shortly after dispatch, the assignment was upgraded to serious, adding a medic unit due to additional reports of a truck possibly on fire after severing a telephone pole and the driver possibly ejected. Chief 69 (Hornberger) and Deputy 69 (Brooks) arrived reporting a one vehicle accident with a pole completely split and wires down on the roadway. No fire was found and the vehicle was confirmed unoccupied. Crews from Ambulance 89-1 and Rescue 69 checked the area both on foot and using a thermal imaging camera, with nobody found nearby. The subject was determined to have left the scene, and crews began to remove debris from the roadway and secure hazards on the vehicle for safe removal. EMS cleared the scene and fire crews remained until the arrival of utility crews. Fire police safely controlled traffic down to one lane throughout the incident. The remaining units were released after PP&L removed the pole and wires from the roadway.

TVFD cleared at 2:12am.

Anyone with information on the accident is asked to contact Caernarvon Police Department.
