This past weekend, TVFD members and special guests took some time to enjoy an evening of events and dinner held at the Morgantown Holiday Inn, for the department's appreciation banquet. This event is held annually to celebrate the accomplishments and dedication of the firefighters, as well as the support of family, mutual aid emergency services, and township officials.

The night started with a happy hour meet and greet, followed by a delicious catered meal by the Holiday Inn staff. Chester County's Deputy Director of Fire Services Beau Crowding was the special guest speaker, and had uplifting words of encouragement for the volunteer firefighters and supporters. TVFD's Fire Chief Jason Brooks concluded the evening's events by mentioning several key points that occurred throughout the year, and presented several special awards to members.

Two special awards were presented this year to crew members that responded to specific emergencies in the area. Holmatro Rescue Equipment and Junkyard Dog Industries recognized the crew that responded to a difficult vehicle accident that occurred on Main Street, with a positive outcome for the victim. The "Gold Extrication Pin" and "Life Saver Pin" were presented to the crew members, as well as certificates of recognition. The second award was presented to the crew that responded to a cardiac arrest on the West Nantmeal track. The victim made a full recovery due to the excellent medical care rendered by everyone involved.

Twin Valley Fire Department officers and firefighters would like to thank everyone who joined us this evening and for the continued support and service throughout the year to make us what we have become today. Special thank you also goes out to the Holiday Inn staff, Inferno Sports, Brotherhood Products, Downingtown's Minquas Fire Company and Paoli Fire Company, and the banquet committee for arranging yet another memorable evening.
