At 4:29pm, TVFD and EMS were dispatched to an automobile accident at Routes 23 and 82 in Elverson Borough. Ambulance 89-1 arrived confirming a three vehicle accident partially blocking the roadway. Rescue 69's crew secured hazards on the vehicles and began debris cleanup from the roadway. Fire police controlled traffic through the scene while the State Police conducted their investigation. All occupants denied any injuries nor needing to be taken to the hospital. While standing by onscene, Chief 69 (Hornberger) was advised by fireboard of a second call for a brush fire on Lammey Road in West Nantmeal. Deputy 69 (Brooks) remained at the accident awaiting the tow company, while Chief 69 and Rescue 69 responded to the brush fire. Brush 69-1 responded from the station, and crews arrived finding a very small area of brush smoldering. Both the accident and brush fire incidents were placed under control and units cleared the scenes.
