At 6:20pm, TVFD and EMS were dispatched to an automobile accident on Route 23 in Warwick. Chief 69 (Hornberger) and Deputy 69 (Brooks) arrived confirming one vehicle into a guardrail, with all occupants out of the vehicle. Ambulance 89-1's crew assessed the driver for minor injuries, while Rescue 69's crew checked hazards on the vehicle. The crew found that the vehicle struck the end of the guardrail head on and it came to rest against the fire wall behind the engine, just inches from the driver. Fire police safely controlled traffic down to one lane through the scene during the investigation and cleanup. All units were released by command and returned available.

TVFD cleared at 7:46pm.
