January 6, 2017

At 7:18pm, TVFD and EMS were dispatched to a chimney fire on Meredith Drive in Warwick. The reporting party was 69-30 (Chalfin) advising his neighbor's chimney had visible flames from the top. Chief 69 (Hornberger) arrived on location confirming the report and gave orders to have Ladder 69 set up in the driveway for roof operations upon arrival. Engine 69-1's crew assisted with interior operations removing debris from the fireplace and clearing the lower portion of the flue. Ladder 69's roof crew cleared the entire chimney with chains and brushes, and both the interior and roof crews confirmed no fire extension to the house. All units were released by command and returned available.

Units cleared at 7:48pm.
