At 3:31pm, TVFD and EMS were dispatched to an automobile accident at Morgantown and Quarry Roads in Caernarvon Berks. Ambulance 89-1 arrived confirming a 2 vehicle accident with multiple occupants injured and trapped, and one subject unresponsive. Rescue 69 and Engine 69-1 crews arrived and began performing numerous tasks, including vehicle stabilization, patient extrication, hazard control, and assisting EMS with patient care. Numerous other EMS units from the tri-county area were dispatched to assist, as well as fire police from Station 34 (Churchtown) to assist TVFD fire police with traffic control. After EMS crews completed triage and treatment of all of the victims, one subject was determined to have unfortunately succumb from extensive injuries. After all patients were transported to a local trauma center, fire crews remained to assist the coroner and clearing the roadway of the vehicles.
