At 8:43pm, TVFD and EMS were dispatched to an accident in the area of Route 82 and 23 in Elverson Borough. Crews had just returned to the firehouse following the Halloween parade and responded immediately. Chief 69 (Hornberger) arrived confirming a two vehicle accident with one overturned, just north of the original dispatched intersection on Chestnut Street. EMS began assessing the victim who had already self extricated from the vehicle, while fire crews from Rescue 69 and Engine 69-1 secured hazards on the vehicle. Fire police closed the roadway and diverted traffic around the area throughout the State Police's investigation and clean up. The driver was determined not to need any medical attention, and crews stood-by until the vehicles were safely removed and roadway debris was cleaned up.
