Flowing Water for Weekly Training

By Deputy Fire Chief Jason Brooks
May 5, 2016

At TVFD's weekly training, members combined drafting and pumping evolutions with deploying and advancing handlines. Drivers both in the training phase and already qualified, ran through multiple drills to rotate through pump operator skills on Ladder 69 and Engines 69-1 and 69-5. Senior firefighters practiced hooking up multiple supply lines and stretching handlines. Our junior firefighters were also given the opportunity to assist in supply line operations as well as handline management. A great training night was had by all and several topics were built upon for TVFD members from juniors through officers.

Thanks to our Fire Police Captain and TVFD photographer Alan Chalfin for the photos.

Units: Ladder 69; Engine(s) 69-1, 69-5
