By TVFD
April 20, 2016

At 6:55pm, TVFD was alerted to a brush fire in the area of Warwick Furnace Road in Warwick. The reporting party advised of a controlled burn that extended to surrounding brush and approaching a nearby wooded area. Chief 69 (Hornberger) arrived confirming approximately 1/4 acre involved and quickly spreading. Brush 69-1's crew began an aggressive attack to contain the spread, and were immediately joined by crews from the other units to assist with extinguishment and overhaul. A forestry warden from DCNR also assisted onscene with equipment. After all hot spots were cleared and the area was completely soaked, DCNR's warden released TVFD.

Units cleared at 8:10pm.

Units: Brush(s) 69-1, 69-3; Engine(s) 69-1, 69-5
