Brush Fire at PA Game Lands
April 21
At 18:58 the Department was dispatched to 238 Laurel Rd for brush, while enroot units were advised of an area 40' on fire. Upon arrival Brush 69-1 confirmed the report and advised of the fire working its way up the hill. Crews complete annual vegetation fire training.

Today, 13 members of the TVFD, along with members of Glen Moore (48), Ludwig’s Corner (73), and Ridge (62) fire companies met up for our annual spring vegetation fire training. These fires include woods, brush, and field fires. Crews from all the departments met at station 73 to do a briefing on the days events. Working fire in the village
TVFD, April 18
TVFD units along with mutual aid were dispatched to Mountaineer Village section of Caernarvon Twp for a dwelling fire. Chief 69 was advised while responding of reports of smoke from the room and a fire in bedroom. Today marks the 19 year anniversary of the passing of Fire Chief Michael Romig. It’s hard to believe that 19 years has slipped by us already. No one would have ever thought that we would get that phone call on that cold April morning 19 years ago when God took him away from us.

Engine and ATV assist to Robeson

Engine 69-5 was alerted to assist Berks 24 (Geigertown) on a working woods fire. Shortly after response, dispatch received requests for additional manpower. ATV 69, towed by Utility 69-1 with manpower, made the response. Engine 69-5 arrived and supplied water to Tanker 72 (Brecknock) who was supplying Attack 24. Brush fire in West Nantmeal

The TVFD was alerted to the 200 block of Millard Rd for the brush fire. Brush 69-1, Brush 69-2, Engine 69-1, Engine 69-5 made responses. Upon arrival, Brush 69-1 advised of a 1/4 grass fire burning against an abandoned house. Chief 69 asked for Brush 48 and Engine 48-5 to assist due to the remote location. TVFD members complete Wildland Firefighting Certification

5 members of the TVFD completed their certification (and recertification) to become Wildland Firefighters. This certification combines multiple online classes and in station training totaling about 25 hours.
